I am not certain whether it was 1986 or 1987, but I remember eating birthday cake on Mainstreet. I remember the smell of almond and vanilla, of cotton candy and oranges. I remember laughter - the deep, hearty, soul-cleansing kind that bubbled up from my Dad’s belly as we waited to board “It’s a Small World.” I remember larger than life characters on floats in mid-day parades and laser lightshows that lit up the night sky amidst a backdrop of countries I hoped I would visit one day - across the ocean! I remember sharing ice-cream treats with my kid brother and stargazing on the fastest indoor roller-coaster I had ever had the pleasure of riding. When I look back on our visit to Walt Disney World, I don’t remember how long it took us to get there… though traveling halfway across the country took some time, I’m sure. I don’t remember the heat… no doubt it was nice and balmy in Florida in August. I don’t remember sore feet… even if my little piggies were tired after walking for miles in the parks. What I do remember was the amazing quality time I spent with my family. I remember the fun we had on our vacation, and I remember knowing I was deeply loved.
When I am asked the reason for my passion in planning other people’s vacations, THIS is the tale I recount. My parents blessed me with the gift of experiences like this as often as they were able. Memories of our adventures dot the landscape of my childhood. Nearly 35 years later, snippets of stories from our first trip to Disney are still relived around our family’s table. THIS is my WHY! While travel may be looked upon by some as a luxury, I see it as an important thread in the fabric of every family’s story. Magical adventures provide opportunities for families, friends, and loved ones to create bonds that last a lifetime. As a travel advisor, I get to play a small part in encouraging people to spend precious time with those they love. Sprinkling pixie dust on my sweet clients allows me to serve them by tending to the details of their trip so they can enjoy making memories that will be shared for years to come.
I am a 45-year-old mother of two busy boys – a teen and a tween – who share my love of all things Disney and look with eager anticipation for details of our next adventure. We have been on 5 Disney vacations together in the last decade, and we are always on the lookout for new and exciting places to make memories! In September, I married the love of my life – a God-fearing man whose passion for healthy families rivals that of my own. We experienced our 1st Disney trip together this past November, as our newly blended family celebrated Thanksgiving in Magic Kingdom, masks and all! (Oh, the memories we will have to tell our future grandbabies!) I would be honored to assist you in planning your DREAM vacation – one that will provide your family the opportunity to make incredible life-long memories, the same kind of memories that I hold so dear to my heart.
Always Dreaming BIG!!
